About The Role

The Third Party Management team helps elevate vendor relationships throughout the contract and vendor life cycle. This includes seeking to improve operational efficiencies, address any issues or performance concerns, mitigating risks and seeking opportunities for greater collaboration and innovation.

As ATB's next Vendor Manager, you will work in the Third Party Management team with a focus on building strong relationships, identifying opportunities, and seeking optimal value for critical and strategically aligned vendors. Your curiosity will help you listen to stakeholders, and you will possess an aptitude for continuous learning and the perseverance to deliver on business needs. You will demonstrate proficiency in activities including vendor performance, relationship and contracts management.

Accountabilities

Oversee The Development And Enhancement Of Relationships With Critical And Strategically Aligned Vendors To Ensure Contractual Obligations And Performance Expectations Are Met Through

  • Establishing a consistent vendor management experience, acting as change champion for vendor management policies and processes.
  • Lead/support the resolution of complex vendor issues, including contract, performance and relationship challenges.
  • Own vendor performance tracking, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations (i.e SLA’s, KPI’s), while also capturing internal sentiment and feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for value creation and innovation with key vendors , driving collaboration and co-creation to maximize value across vendor relationships and business stakeholders.
  • Lead business reviews, kick-off meetings, and cadence discussions with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on performance and goals.
  • Contribute to building processes that enable optimal performance, relationship management, and cost control (e.g., SLA monitoring, license management, forecasting), ensuring clear and consistent practices are in place across assigned vendors for effective management.
  • Maintaining an understanding of assigned vendor contracts including how the vendors fit into the ATB ecosystem from both a business and technical perspective.
  • Support Strategic Sourcing and business teams by conducting market research, providing vendor insights, and identifying emerging trends to enhance the sourcing process and drive value during contract negotiations with critical and strategic vendors.
  • Act as a centralized point of contact for vendor management best practices, providing expert advice, consultancy, and guidance on all aspects of vendor management, including conflict resolution, performance management, and relationship management, ensuring stakeholders receive comprehensive support.
  • Contribute to the strategic objectives of the Third Party Management team in alignment with ATB’s strategic plans.
  • Maintain and update vendor records, including contact information, performance data, and other relevant vendor-related information, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for effective vendor management and decision-making.

People And Relationships Accountabilities

  • Act as a point of contact for business areas to drive performance and compliance of vendors and contracts.
  • Foster collaboration internally and with vendors, promoting teamwork and aligning goals across functions to drive mutual success and value.
  • Influence cross functional teams
  • Maintaining regular communication and positive working relationships with internal stakeholders, including contract owners/holders and with ATB groups with common interests.

Skills, Experience & Requirements

Core Technical Skills

  • Preferred 3-5 years of experience in third party (vendor) management.
  • Strong negotiation background.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information, like contracts and processes, into clear, meaningful and easy-to-understand terms for stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen with knowledge of banking and technology industry trends and their relevance to ATB’s business environment and strategies.
  • Ability to accurately interpret and take actionable insights from data visualizations and analytics.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively build relationships and manage multiple stakeholders and vendors in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to lead presentations.
  • Ability to facilitate problem solving and leading discussions with stakeholders and vendors.
