Overview

IGT is seeking a Software Developer to support innovative, high-quality applications used by our lottery clients. The successful candidate will achieve this by following the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for the monthly maintenance of lottery self-service terminals. This includes updates to their respective content as well as light to medium efforts in software enhancements. You must be able to solve software engineering problems in a resourceful and effective manner. Other responsibilities include:

  • Front end UI development with a strong emphasis on collaboration with other developers.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize project tasks.
  • Communication with business analysts, quality assurance analysts as well as project managers and lottery stakeholders.
  • Maintaining high standards related to coding, testing and implementation.
  • Light to medium animation effort using HTML, CSS, JS and Adobe Animate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Computer Science required or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML.
  • Experience with version control systems (GitHub, SVN or equivalent).
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Must have good written and verbal communications, be self-motivated, and work well in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe suite of products considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of React, Angular, Node.js considered an asset.
