On behalf of our government client in Edmonton, Procom is searching for two Senior Business Consultants for 8-month, mostly remote contract positions. This role requires with occasional travel up to 6 times per year to Edmonton for onsite meetings.


Senior Business Consultant Job Details

The Senior Business Consultants will join our client's Registries Modernization team, as they embark on an ambitious project to modernize and replace five aging registry systems, including land titles and motor vehicles registries. This initiative aims to enhance corporate, personal property, and vital events registries for Albertans by implementing modern technology and improved processes.

The 2 Senior Business Consultants will have expertise in data governance, data maturity assessments, and data modernization. This role demands strong emotional intelligence and a collaborative spirit to support the development of a comprehensive Registries Data Strategy and Roadmap.


Senior Business Consultant Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:

• Capturing and documenting data management requirements, business processes, and conducting gap assessments through interviews, surveys, and workshops.
• The role involves creating data governance frameworks, defining data profiling standards, and developing data maturity assessment tools.
• The consultant(s) will coordinate and facilitate assessment sessions, compile reports, and validate results with stakeholders.
• They will assess data governance framework gaps and support communication and change management.
• The consultant(s) will also review relevant legislations and assist with planning and reporting.
  
  
  

Senior Business Consultant Mandatory Skills

• Experience in data maturity assessments for large enterprise initiatives.
• Experience in delivering data strategy and roadmap for enterprise systems.
• Participation in data governance working teams.
• Proficiency in data management processes and tools, including process mapping and lineage toolsets.
• Strong knowledge of structured/unstructured databases, data modeling, and data governance tools.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in diagramming and presentation tools.
• Ability to communicate issues clearly to diverse audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration and engagement.
• Proven relationship management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with Agile/Hybrid project approaches.
