Account Executive - Virtual

As an Account Executive for Canon’s Imaging Technologies and Communications Group you will be reporting to our Sr. Sales Manager and will be responsible for driving sales and promoting Canon’s photographic and printer products through our established dealer network, which includes both Retail and Photo Specialty accounts. You’ll act as a Canon brand ambassador, ensuring the retention and growth of our account base while meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Canon and retail partners.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to meet and exceed sales quotas for assigned products and retailers.
  • Create and coordinate marketing and promotional initiatives, monitoring their success.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and develop short- and long-term activity plans.
  • Negotiate sales and marketing proposals with retail partners to achieve business goals.
  • Deliver product knowledge training programs to dealer sales associates.
  • Provide regular feedback on account performance and ensure timely sales forecasts.
  • Participate in trade shows and sales meetings as needed.

To Succeed, You Will Need

  • Post Secondary education preferred in a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant sales experience.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess historical sales data and develop accurate projections.
  • Effective project and time management skills to ensure successful execution of in-store merchandising and meeting objectives.
  • Intermediate proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel (including vlookups, pivot tables, and basic functions).
  • French is considered an asset.

  • The Account Executive is an outside face-to-face sales role. You will only report to the office if there is specific business needs, such as training, team meetings, etc. (work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs)
