Human Resources Intern (Recent Graduate 6-month contract)

We are looking for a Human Resources Intern who is curious, collaborative and organized to join our UCB Canada team, based in our Oakville office in Canada.

About The Role

The Human Resources Intern will support the Human Resources/Talent team on various Human Resources/Talent processes, tasks and projects while identifying efficiencies and reinforcing compliance with various Canadian legislation.

Who you’ll work with the Human Resource/Talent team in Canada and other key stakeholders within UCB.

What You’ll Do

  • Reporting and Dashboards: Prepare monthly, annual and ad hoc Employee related reports and Dashboards and Analytics.
  • Coordination of HR related activities and events: Support the coordination and communication of various HR/Talent related activities and events including sending out meeting invites, planning, coordination, support and follow up action items.
  • Onboarding/Offboarding: Help with the various activities related to onboarding and offboarding employees
  • DE&I/Engagement/HSWB/Ambition: Assist HR/Talent with ongoing DE&I, Engagement, Health & Safety Well Being/UCB Canada Ambition related tactics, projects, activities and events.
  • Projects: Work on various Human resources related projects.
  • Other duties: Scanning and sending HR related mail to appropriate stakeholders, photocopying and preparing materials as needed. Support the HR Shared Service ticketing and portal, Health and Safety activities, and general HR support as needed.

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills

  • Completed Degree in Business and/or with a Human Resources major and enrolled or working towards the CHRP designation is an asset.
  • Previous human resources relevant work and/or co-op/internship experience is desired.
  • Proficient in MS Office with a strong competency in data analytics. Previous use of HR software would be an asset.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to handle information in a sensitive and confidential manner. Solutions-oriented with a growth mindset and the ability to work both independently and cross-functional.
  • Displays behaviors that foster an inclusive working environment and embraces DE&I.
  • Bilingual in French and English would be an asset
