Position Overview

The Development Coordinator with Beedie Living will report to the Senior Development Manager of Residential Development and will assist with all aspects of development process from acquisition, design development, the approvals process, sales and on to building completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparation of permit packages for submission to municipalities and liaise with city staff as required.
  • Assist in managing project schedules, proformas, and consultant meetings.
  • Research and investigation of Zoning Bylaws, Municipal Policies and Planning documents to inform project development and acquisition decisions.
  • Development and maintenance of multi-family residential/mixed-use proforma, cash flows and Excel models.
  • Preparation of project financing packages, department-wide project schedule and bank packages
  • Attend project coordination, consultant and design meetings as required.
  • Support all aspects of development administration including maintenance and archiving of project documents, databases, fee libraries, etc. and preparation of reports and presentation materials.
  • Perform market research and competitive analysis development programming, design and sales decisions.
  • Assist with project completions, including supporting the Homeowner Care process, legal documentation and coordination.
  • Assist with preparation and implementation of project scopes and schedules, consultant proposal and contract documents, as well of processing of contract purchase orders for accounting purposes.
  • Assist in coordination of internal and external events, educational sessions, etc.

Desired Skills And Experience

  • A diploma in Urban Land Economics or relevant University degree.
  • Experience in real estate development is preferred, but not required.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Recognized analytical and research skills.
  • The ability to handle a heavy workload, multitask, and prioritize.
  • A strong work ethic, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
  • Strong project management skills.

$68,000 - $80,000 a year

The annual base pay range for this position will be based on the desired experience level for this role. Additionally, Beedie recognizes exceptional individual and team performance through our pay-for-performance bonus program.
