The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced mechanic to join their team of skilled professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background with experience working on electrical and hydraulic components, including the ability to read schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Perform replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components
  • Utilize all technical support resources (such as operator, parts, and maintenance manuals, How Factory, etc.) in troubleshooting, determining procedures, and identifying parts needed for repair
  • Perform Unit Condition Inspections and Reports
  • Perform all tasks in a manner fully consistent with Safety practices and procedures
  • Advise supervisors of situations that may impact a customer relationship
  • Provide accurate and sufficient information on all required documents

Requirements

  • 310T Certification or 421A Red Seal Certification Asset
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Physical effort to move objects and tools that may weigh up to 75 pounds; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling
  • A high level of dexterity
  • Drive motor vehicles
  • Experience with aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes; or construction, mining, farm equipment such as excavators, skid steers, dozers or tractors; aircraft and aerospace or ground support equipment (AGE/GSE) or similar is nice to have
  • Previous mechanic and/or equipment service experience
  • Education in mechanics, electrical or hydraulic systems
