The Cellular Retails Sales is responsible for supervising the retail sales of goods and services offered at Bearcom. This individual also identifies new markets and business opportunities while maximizing profitability and growth in cellular and GPS/AVL equipment sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the development and implementation of advertising and marketing plans.
  • Provides support for the performance improvement and professional development of all Retail Sales Reps.
  • Assists in merchandizing efforts by displaying and demonstrating products and accessories effectively.
  • Provides timely feedback to the Sales Manager regarding sales performance.
  • Reviews pricing and sales reports submitted by Retail Sales Reps to verify accuracy.
  • Assists Retail Sales Reps in preparation of quotes and presentations.
  • Conducts regular coaching and counseling with Retail Sales Reps to build motivation and selling skills.
  • Maintains and develops relationships with existing customers via face-to-face meetings, telephone calls and emails.
  • Negotiates the terms of agreements and closes sales.
  • Gathers market and customer information to know what the competition is doing.
  • Represents Bearcom at trade shows, events and demonstrations.
  • Negotiates variations in price, delivery and specifications with managers.
  • Builds and maintains the Bearcom price list.
  • Advises customers and other staff on forthcoming product developments and special promotions.
  • Checks quantities of goods on display on the showroom floor, replenishing stocks from the stock room as needed.
  • Acknowledges customers in waiting area right away.
  • Answers customer phone calls in a prompt manner.
  • Investigates and resolves customer concerns related to phone operation and features.
  • Assess and resolves customer requests to return or exchange products purchased at Bearcom.
  • Liaises with the purchasing department to check on the progress of existing orders.
  • Records sales and order information using both online and manual processes.
  • Audits sales incentive programs to verify numbers recorded reflect actual sales receipts.
  • Completes classroom and online training, including WebEx seminars, to stay abreast of new features and products as they are being introduced.
  • Gains a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements.
  • Conducts rate plan optimizations with customers to ensure their plan offers the best value for their calling patterns.
  • Makes accurate, timely cost calculations, and providing customers with quotations.
  • Research new developments in communications technology in order to feed future buying trends back to the sales manager.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly workplace and showroom.
  • Participates in monthly sales meetings.
  • Performs other duties as delegated by the Retail Sales Manager.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of cellular sales experience required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Must have demonstrated ability to lead and direct a results-driven sales team.
  • Must be able to analyze customers needs and offer effective solutions.
  • Must be able to work successfully in a competitive sales environment.
  • Must be able to handle multiple simultaneous tasks effectively.
  • Must have problem solving skills and be able to make decisions quickly.
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
  • Must have good communication skills, both oral and written, and be detailed oriented.
  • Must be professional, helpful, and courteous.
  • Must be organized and be able to prioritize work assignments.
