Reports to: Communications Manager

Position Summary:

The Communications Agent will act as a key liaison between the organization and external stakeholders, including media, partners, and the public. They will be responsible for maintaining a consistent brand voice, drafting and disseminating key communications, managing media inquiries, and contributing to public relations efforts. The Communications Agent will support internal and external communication strategies to enhance the organization's reputation and ensure clear messaging.

Key Responsibilities

Media Relations:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for media inquiries and maintain positive relationships with journalists and media outlets.
  • Coordinate press interviews, media briefings, and public appearances.
  • Monitor media coverage and create reports to inform stakeholders of key public perceptions.

Social Media Management:

  • Manage the organization's social media channels, creating a content calendar and posting updates regularly.
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and reviews in a timely manner.
  • Analyze social media performance and adjust strategies to increase engagement and reach.

Crisis Communication:

  • Assist in the preparation of communication plans during crisis situations.
  • Draft official statements and provide timely updates to internal and external parties.

Internal Communications:

  • Coordinate internal messaging to ensure consistent communication across departments.
  • Support leadership by drafting speeches, talking points, or internal announcements.

Project Coordination:

  • Collaborate with various teams to execute communication strategies for company events, product launches, or campaigns.
  • Organize press events, media tours, or corporate events as needed.

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms and content management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with media monitoring tools and analytics platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
