Salary Range - $50,000-$55,000

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Equipment Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining our Demtech equipment, and Electrofusion Processors, providing technical support to customers, and ensuring all equipment operates at peak performance. In addition to field support, this role will involve ordering parts, entering service orders, and ensuring equipment is properly calibrated.

Additional duties will include:

  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair any issues related to DEMTECH equipment, ensuring quick and efficient resolution to minimize downtime. Perform regular maintenance and inspections to prevent future problems.
  • Field Support: Provide direct technical support to customers via phone, email, or on-site visits. Address any operational issues, guide customers through troubleshooting steps, and provide solutions to ensure their equipment is functioning correctly.
  • Parts Ordering: Identify necessary parts for repairs and maintenance, order these parts in a timely manner, and ensure stock levels are maintained. Collaborate with vendors to source and purchase high-quality components.
  • Service Orders: Accurately enter and update service orders in the system, ensuring all details of the work completed, parts used, and any additional notes are properly documented.
  • Calibration: Regularly calibrate DEMTECH equipment to ensure it meets operational and safety standards. Keep detailed records of calibration dates and ensure all equipment complies with regulatory requirements.
  • Customer Training: Occasionally provide training to customers on the proper use and maintenance of DEMTECH equipment to prevent operational issues and extend the lifespan of their machines.
  • Other Duties as assigned
  • Perform other tasks as requested by the Profit Centre Manager


  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; College and/or University degree an asset
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high standard of integrity
  • Ability to develop comprehensive product and product application knowledge
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Mechanical inclination
  • Excellent organizational skills with an attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, vendors, and teammates
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Possess a valid driver’s license

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience with or knowledge of products sold at the Profit Centre
