Forest Nursery Worker - Lift

A Day in the Life: 

PRT is currently recruiting seasonal Forest Nursery Workers to assist with our upcoming harvest of tree seedlings at our PRT Prince Albert Nursery in Prince Albert, SK. Most of the work is done outside with duties focusing on lifting tree seedlings for reforestation across North America. This engaging, high paced, physical position offers a safe work environment and an opportunity for a career that will make a positive change in the world. Candidates should have a desire and keenness to learn about the forest seedling nursery activities, work independently and efficiently. No experience required; full training provided.   

About the team: 

The Nursery Worker will work alongside other Nursery Workers under the supervision of the Nursery Lead and report to the Nursery Manager.

Required/Minimum Qualifications & Skills: 

• Reliable transportation 

• Appropriate work attire 

• Good manual dexterity and eyesight  

• Team-oriented personality with a positive attitude 

• Ability to stand for lengthy periods of time and perform repetitive tasks  

• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs 

• Commitment to quality and safety  

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive hourly wage of $15.50 per hour for the training period, compensation then transfers to piece work with greater earning potential.   

• Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm.
