The Opportunity: The Payroll and Benefits Administrator is responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution and reconciliation of payroll and the administration of the payroll system. The Payroll Administrator will coordinate all payroll activities, verifying hours and pay rates, recording all financial details in the payroll database, and disbursing direct deposits.

• Collects authorized timesheets and modified work agreements
• Calculates leave, overtime, pay and benefit entitlements using information management systems
• Prepares and verifies statement of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net salaries and deductions, such as payroll tax withholdings, insurance and pension plan payments
• Completes, verifies, and processes forms and documentation for administration of benefits, such as pension plans, leaves, employment and medical insurance

• Knowledge of CRA payroll deduction requirements and payroll accounting
• Knowledge and ability to perform account reconciliations
• Ability and understanding of performing account reconciliations

Wage Range: The target hiring range for this position is $37.4637 to $48.5164 per hour . Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicant's role-specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
