Operations Lead Hand

Description

Hanon Systems is a full-line global supplier of automotive thermal and energy management solutions for electrified and conventional vehicles. Hanon Systems Canada Inc. in Belleville, Ontario is seeking a highly motivated and driven Operations Lead Hand to join our team. Contribute to the daily manufacturing process and continuous improvement related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Primary Responsibilities:

Team members/People

• Ensure proper and up to date process documentation is displayed for the current production part.
• Ensure proper training of team members in systems and practices as required.
• Report on team’s progress regarding KPI (Key Process Indicator) targets through shift reports, data collection and the 9am meeting.
• Work with the team to determine workflow, and task assignment based on Kanban/SAP schedules.Assign work center members to specific tasks when necessary, coordinating builds, C/O’s by utilizing Kanban/SAP.
• Follow all posted documentation.
• Lead weekly team board meetings with the team using collected data and present issues/opportunities for follow up with proper support groups.
• Complete shift reports.
• Daily attendance and team member placement.
• Weekly manning plans with emphasis on cross training and team member stability.
• Promote teamwork and team morale.
• Couch team members in designated area.
• Complete team member contract reviews in designated area.
• Complete attendance reviews up to and including coach/counsel in designated area.
  
  

Safety

• Work with Team Members to help ensure are proper rotation occurs to avoid safety/ergo issues as per the documented process
  
  

Quality

• Follow all posted documentation related to Quality (reaction plan, stop limits) Track and lead improvement projects
  
  

Delivery

• Track and correct rate controlling issues i.e., manpower, method, material and machine
  
  

Cost

• Review and implement labour savings actions and scrap improvements with collected data along with the Operations Data Analyst and continuous improvement team
  
  

Job Qualifications:

• Must have proven attendance record
• Knowledge of Hanon products and Processes would be an asset
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Must have strong communication skills.
• Previous Operations Coordinator (OC – TC – Area Lead) experience is an asset.
• Must have minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Must be able to rotate to any line, or area as needed.
• Must be able to support OT.
• Must be able to support continental shifts.
