Antoine Laoun Optician is a multi-disciplinary team of eye care professionals (optometrists, opticians and eyewear stylists), who has a fashion forward mindset, offers personalized eye care services and carefully selected quality eyewear products: glasses, sunglasses, lenses, and contact lenses from popular power brands and renowned independent brands.

GENERAL FUNCTION

The Lab Associate executes high quality products and timely delivery of eyewear for customers in accordance with Antoine Laoun’s lab operational & safety standards. Fabricates eyewear to required standards. Ensures speed and reliability of service.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Schedules and performs maintenance and calibration on equipment according to lab operating standards.
  • Adjusts, repairs and dispenses eyewear as required.
  • Provides customer service as required.
  • Notifies customers on job status.
  • Cleans and maintains the lab area.
  • Re-stocks inventory.
  • Maintains inventory of lens & supplies.
  • Fabricates jobs on timely basis.
  • Maintains Company processes and procedures in lab.
  • Maintains calibration logs.
  • Ensures safety standards are complied to.
  • Creates customer-focused retail selling culture as measured by:
    • Fostering a team environment with Associates, Doctors and Dr. staff
    • Effective execution and follow-through of eyewear when ready
    • Effective execution of visual merchandising and presentation standards
    • Exhibiting a professional presentation both in appearance and demeanor with customers, Associates and Doctors
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Store Manager which include but are not limited to:
    • Cleanliness of retail and non-retail areas in the store
    • Securing of the location
Basic Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Problem solving ability
  • Organization skills
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Strong inter-personal skills (friendly, caring, patient)
  • Knowledge of store merchandise

Preferred Qualifications

  • Optical training
  • Optical background
  • Experience with machinery
  • 6+ months of customer service experience

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
