EvenUp

Date: 2 weeks ago
City: Peterborough, ON
Contract type: Full time
Remote
EvenUp is on a mission to support injury law firms across America in providing a consistent and high standard of representation, ensuring that every injury victim who seeks legal assistance can expect a fair resolution. We’ve helped thousands of victims get fair compensation by empowering their representation with best-in-class insights, automation, and document creation.

This is a remote-first role that can be based in Canada.

Legal Operations Associates help ensure that the demand letters (legal documents with accompanying exhibits that illustrate an injured party's economic and non-economic damages resulting from a personal injury incident) we deliver to our clients are accurate, effective, and high quality. Our Associates are on the front lines of our mission to ensure that personal injury victims receive the compensation they're entitled to.

What you'll do:

  • Work with our proprietary software online portal to review medical documentation, write concise and detailed treatment summaries, organize damages, establish treatment timelines, and conduct legal research to draft compelling demand letters
  • Work against a weekly quota and with the opportunity to be rewarded with a bonus for high-quality production above the quota

What we look for:

  • Experience in the legal, insurance or medical fields with an emphasis on writing (e.g. paralegals, case managers, claim adjustors, legal assistants or technical writers)
  • Strong persuasive writing skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to organize, multi-task, prioritize, and collaborate with reviewers and various teams across the company
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly with the ability to swiftly pick up new processes and software
  • Knowledge of personal injury law, medical summaries, or copywriting/editing experience is a plus

This is a perfect role for someone who enjoys persuasive writing, working in a fast-paced environment, and getting into the details of their work as you work alongside an established team of high-performers.

Base compensation for this role is $50,000-$60,000 CAD. Team members are eligible for performance-based bonuses with a target of an additional 10% of their base salary annually.

Benefits & Perks:

Our goal is to empower every team member to contribute to our mission of fostering a more just world, regardless of their role, location, or level of experience. To that end, we offer:

  • Choice of medical, dental, and vision insurance plans for you and your family
  • Flexible paid time off and 10+ holidays per year
  • A stipend to upgrade your home office for fully-remote roles
  • 401k for US-based employees

Please note the above benefits & perks are for full-time employees
