While we presently operate under a hybrid model with in office requirements on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays, this can change at any time based on company needs.



We are currently looking for a forward-thinking, creative, and experienced Mid-level Coastal/Marine Engineer with a strong background in engineering analysis and design of coastal and marine structures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of assignments that require the application of moderate-to-advanced design engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria with limited guidance from senior engineers.
  • Focus on design of coastal structures. 
  • Support planning, research, design, engineering, and preparation of plans and specifications.
  • Lead the collection and analysis of data.
  • Development of project manuals including plans and specifications.
  • Assists in project management including client interaction, project budget and schedule control, and coordination of quality control procedures.
  • Support the administration and on-site observation of marine construction projects.
  • Participate in proposal preparation and interviews, attract new clients, and retain clients as necessary.
  • Work across our different offices and time zones.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • B.S. in Civil or Coastal Engineering or a closely related engineering category from an accredited University or College (M.S. preferred).
  • Professional Credentials: either a Professional Engineering License or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Minimum of 7 years of coastal and marine engineering experience, in a consulting or contractor role.
  • Demonstrated experience in project design or construction experience involving coastal and marine structures, ecosystem restoration or navigation & dredging.
  • Flexible work style, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment, meet challenging deadlines and client needs.
  • Working knowledge of design guidelines, codes and standards relative to coastal and marine engineering.
  • Ability to clearly document the basis of design and design development including, data analysis, assumptions, calculations, and conclusions.
  • Ability to effectively work with a team of coastal, marine and geotechnical engineers, coastal and ecological scientists, geomatics specialists, CAD drafters, and surveyors.  
  • Willingness to travel for domestic and international projects. Occasional assignments, particularly construction supervision, could require extended travel for several weeks at a time.

Nice to Have Qualifications:

  • Construction experience related to waterfront and coastal projects.
  • Some domestic and international travel will be required to undertake the job duties described above. Travel may be planned or on an immediate basis and the candidate will need to be flexible in meeting project deadlines. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
