Conveniently located beside Scotiabank Arena in the heart of Toronto’s Sports and Entertainment district, e11even caters to sports fans as much as music and entertainment fans. With a new, modern design featuring premium styles and materials, an upscale menu offering hand-selected, local and seasonal ingredients and a new atmosphere, e11even is a unique take on the traditional sports bar. As the Bar Manager, you will assist the Management team in overseeing and leading the Bar section of the restaurant, ensuring the delivery of elevated food and fan service to all guests.

  • Provide leadership and direction by maintaining high standards of quality, service, safety and profitability for our vibrant restaurant.
  • Supervise, train, develop, and motivate the team.
  • Resolve discrepancies quickly and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all related regulations such as those pertaining to Health & Safety and AGCO.
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Carry out administrative functions pertaining to hiring, scheduling, payroll, performance reviews, mentorship, corrective actions and discipline.
  • Act as an ambassador for MLSE and our community.
  • Adhere to MLSE service standards and policies.
  • Inventory controls.
  • Maintain budgets and monitor costs.
  • Oversee planning of events.
  • Initiates and maintains vendor relationships.
  • Perform other related duties as the need arises.

  • Strong food service background is required.
  • Experience as a manager/supervisor of F&B in a hotel, restaurant, or events based venue is helpful.
  • Beverage program management experience including strong knowledge in cocktail development, ordering, inventory control, spirits, and beer as well as some level of wine certification such as WSET or the Caps program is an asset.
  • Leadership experience in a high-volume food service environment.
  • Trained in W.H.M.I.S., Smart Serve, NFSTP, ServSafe or equivalent.
  • Solid understanding and practical knowledge of Industry principles and service etiquette.
  • Ability to communicate, motivate, and lead effectively.
  • A proactive approach toward day-to-day activities and shifting demands.
  • P & L knowledge and ongoing awareness.
  • Shown to perform well under pressure; balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ongoing awareness and responsiveness to client satisfaction.
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
