Desktop Support Analyst

Description

We are in the pursuit of a proficient Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in the non-profit industry, situated in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. The role involves providing support to users, migrating data and accounts, and managing hardware. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate smooth migration of user data and accounts
• Deliver assistance to users, addressing their inquiries and issues concerning hardware
• Handle the deployment of new hardware and ensure the recovery of old hardware
• Manage client hardware efficiently to ensure optimal performance
• Prepare hardware for lease return, adhering to company procedures and standards
• Utilize skills in Cisco Technologies, Citrix Technologies, Computer Hardware, Database, Dell Technologies, Active Directory, Apple Devices, Backup Technologies, and Configuration Management to perform tasks efficiently
• Ensure the smooth operation of office-based software including Office 365 and SCCM
• Provide support for various devices, including laptops, desktops, and peripherals
• Maintain updated knowledge and proficiency in handling up to 300 machines
• Handle occasional travel requirements for on-site support as necessary.
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Desktop Support Analyst role or similar
• Proficiency in Cisco Technologies and Citrix Technologies
• Strong knowledge of Computer Hardware and Dell Technologies
• Experience with Database management and Active Directory
• Familiarity with Apple Devices and their support needs
• Demonstrated experience with Backup Technologies
• Knowledge of Configuration Management practices and methodologies
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-profit environment
• Willingness to continually update knowledge of relevant technologies
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
