Job Summary: The Quality Control Technician- Raw Material and Vendor will be responsible for coordinating assignments related to vendors and vendor materials, initial vendor approval, material specifications, vendor qualification and will maintain quality standards by verifying incoming raw material.

Job Summary: The Quality Control Technician- Raw Material and Vendor will be responsible for coordinating assignments related to vendors and vendor materials, initial vendor approval, material specifications, vendor qualification and will maintain quality standards by verifying incoming raw material.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for assessing vendors to ensure that they comply with regulatory and MediPharm Labs Inc. or its wholly owned subsidiaries requirements
- Completes Vendor qualification including audit, Quality Agreements
- Work closely with Business Development Department to Carefully Review new vendors and materials including regulatory compliance.
- Review Incoming Raw Material Cannabis Certificate of Analysis to confirm with Specification for new Purchase Orders, vendors and customers.
- Review and update Vendor Qualification file, Raw Material Release records, logbooks and various SOPs
- Document quality Control activities with internal reporting and audits
- Work as part of the QA team promoting a quality culture within the company
- Perform inspection, and verify received raw materials
- Perform detailed documentation of inspection results and ensure that all documentations are in accordance with GPP/GMP
- Aid in performing ongoing investigations, and other unique projects
- Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs
- Adheres to safety rules and procedures
- Provide timely and accurate information, reports and documentation as required
- Other quality tasks as necessary
- Bachelor’s degree in science related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in vendor qualifications, raw material testing and releasing
- Experience in technical writing including contracts
- Excellent time management skills with ability to work under minimal supervision
- Able to work in fast paced environment
- Experience in OOS (out of specification) investigation
- Experience of working in a GMP environment
- Previous quality/laboratory experience, preferably within a GMP environment
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and Excel
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain and teach methodologies
