Job Title: Extrusion Operator, 12-hour continental position

What you will need to do:

  • Operate extruders to maximize output while maintaining highest quality
  • Clean and maintain equipment and workstation throughout shift
  • Perform all necessary preparation to complete the running of an order
  • Commit to Safety: Practice all established internal health and safety procedures
  • Commit to Quality: Perform quality checks on extruded plastic film produced so that it meets all quality standards
  • Commit to Teamwork: Assist other operators to ensure optimum production performance
  • Ensure finished rolls are properly packaged according to customer requirements
  • Report any equipment failure immediately to the Production Supervisor
  • Communicate clearly and effectively
  • Attend scheduled meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

What skills & experience you'll bring to us:

  • Strong problem identification and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to regularly work near moving mechanical parts and in conditions that include heat and humidity
  • Ability to lift up to 35lbs, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor
  • Previous machine operating experience
  • Extrusion experience an asset
  • Mechanical acumen considered an asset

What's required for the position:

  • CSA approved steel toed boots
  • Clear criminal background check
  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent

Biweekly pay. Overtime after 84 hours in a two-week period.
