Position Title: Recruitment Coordinator
Reports to: Manager, People & Culture

Work Location: Calgary, Edmonton, or Vancouver are ideal. This position can work remotely, in-office, or hybrid
Position Summary
The Recruitment Coordinator plays a vital role in identifying and attracting exceptional talent across our organization. This position is responsible for collaborating closely with hiring managers to not only fill roles but to ensure we discover the perfect fit for our culture and goals. Your expertise will lead candidates through a smooth and engaging recruitment experience, ultimately boosting our organizational effectiveness and contributing to a dynamic workplace. Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing the high volume full-cycle recruitment process.
- Develop compelling job postings that resonate with high-caliber candidates, highlighting the unique aspects of each role and our organizational culture.
- Assess candidates' qualifications and skills through effective screening methods, ensuring alignment with our specific job requirements.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify the best-fit candidates, facilitating seamless interview processes and providing valuable insights into candidate suitability.
- Create offer letters and coordinate new hires to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Develop innovative sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill roles, enhancing our recruitment efficiency and reducing time-to-fill metrics.
- Attendance and participation at recruitment and industry events in mandatory in this position.
Physical Requirements
- Long periods of sitting, computer work for extended periods. You are responsible for working safely and adequately utilizing Workplace Ergonomics to avoid injury to yourself and others.
Work Environment
- Work may be completed remotely within Western Canada, or at one of our KBL Offices in Richmond, Calgary, Leduc, Winnipeg, Whitehorse, or Yellowknife.
- There is a possibility of cuts, bruises, straining, disease and /or severe injury if safe work practices are not followed.
- Work is primarily carried out indoors, at times, there may be a requirement to go outside. Therefore, there can be exposure to extreme weather in the winter months. There can be dust, noise, mud, water, smoke, and bacteria exposure.
- Travel is required up to 20% of time for recruitment and industry events, including job fairs. Locations include Edmonton, Calgary, Richmond, Winnipeg, and Yellowknife.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in managing the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring best practices are followed at every stage.
- A formal education in Human Resources, providing a strong foundation for understanding recruitment principles and practices.
- Experience with HR Information Systems (HRIS) is highly advantageous, enabling efficient management of candidate data and recruitment metrics.
- Proficient in utilizing job boards such as Indeed and LinkedIn, with a keen understanding of candidate assessment and selection techniques.
- Knowledge of the Waste Management & Environmental industry is a valuable asset.
- Proven track record of managing multiple job openings across various regions while adeptly adapting to shifting priorities.
- A genuine enthusiasm for creating a remarkable new hire experience, ensuring every candidate feels valued and welcomed.
