Your new role

As our new Mechanical CAD Designer, you will provide 3D CAD drafting and mechanical design support for air pollution control and wastewater treatment systems. You will be part of Ramboll’s Canadian environmental engineering department. We design and implement industrial ventilation, air pollution control and wastewater treatment systems for clients in a wide range of heavy industrial and manufacturing sectors. Client facilities are located throughout Canada, the Unites States and internationally. This service area is supported widely by a team of professionals providing environmental consulting, compliance management and strategic development services to improve environmental and occupational health and safety performance for our clients.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Provide 2D and 3D CAD drafting and design of mechanical drawings associated with environmental control systems
  • Integrate corporate and/or client drawing standards into all drawing packages
  • Occasional involvement in field activities for measurements and inspections; may require travel in Canada and / or USA

About you

  • Proficient in engineering drafting and mechanical design using current CAD software including AutoCAD 3D and Autodesk Inventor and/or Autodesk Revit
  • Minimum Three-year diploma in design/drafting or engineering degree with CAD training from a recognized institution
  • 2+ years proven CAD drafting/design experience with design of mechanical, environmental, pollution control systems for industrial sector projects
  • Some familiarity with Process P&ID, Electrical single line and General Arrangement drawings would be beneficial
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada. The ability to travel to the USA is a secondary requirement and while not essential, would be an asset.
