Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager, you will work closely with the resource nurse, staff and physicians in the Palliative Care Unit.
Accountabilities:
- Provide clerical support as required
- Knowledge of Meditech and material management including order entry system required
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Minimum 45/wpm typing speed
- Medical terminology
- Recent related experience on an inpatient unit
- Word processing and computer skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of medicine and palliative care
- Fluent in English (reading/writing/speaking)
- Completion of a medical secretarial course preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility to meet the needs of a fast-paced department
- Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration
- Proven excellent attendance record
Currently Days, Evenings, 8 hours including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)
Salary:
Minimum: $24.32 per hour
Maximum: $26.34 per hour
