Position Overview:

We are looking for a Facilities Specialist - Journeyman Millwright to join our team. This role is based in a climate-controlled warehouse environment that is highly regulated by Health Canada. The primary responsibility will be to maintain and troubleshoot automation equipment for retrieving and stocking inventory. This position operates during the night shift (10 PM - 6 AM) from Sunday to Thursday, with flexible scheduling options. There are opportunities for advancement within the company and availability for overtime.

Key Responsibilities in Facilities Maintenance

  • Carry out preventative maintenance and inspections on machinery and building systems to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
  • Diagnose malfunctions and perform mechanical repairs on equipment, machinery, and components.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement equipment modifications and upgrades as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all maintenance activities.
  • Maintain an accurate record of service logs, maintenance activities, and inventory management.
  • Adapt to new techniques and equipment to increase efficiency and effectiveness in machinery upkeep.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Millwright Certification: Must be a certified journeyman millwright with hands-on experience in facility maintenance.
  • Forklift Operation: Certification and proficiency in safely operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
  • HVAC Systems Knowledge: Understanding of HVAC systems to ensure optimal working conditions within the facility.
  • Technical Aptitude: Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, capable of performing preventive maintenance and repairs on various systems and equipment.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with Health Canada regulations.
