Title: Community Health Nurse, Health Center

Salary: $91,965 – $110,933 per year (pay range explained below) *

Contract: Term – November 17, 2025

Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday – Friday (core hours 9am – 3pm)

Location: Fort St. John

Bargaining Unit: PIPSC BCFNHA Group (Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada)

About The Role

As Community Health Nurse in Fort St. John's Health Center, you will – Provide a comprehensive range of core nursing functions and services in remote First Nations communities in program areas of community and public heath, primary care, and urgent and emergent care. This includes health promotion and disease and injury prevention for individuals, families, groups, communities, and populations.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have/be –

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing from a recognized university or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Obtain and maintain Basic Life Support Certification Level C
  • Completion of a recognized specialty nursing program is an asset
  • Requires a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License

The Pay Range is the minimum (Step 1) and maximum (highest Step) annual base salary based on full time equivalent hours.

As a health and wellness organization, the FNHA has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021. We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. If selected for employment, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination by providing a copy of your BC Vaccination Card Passport with the QR code.
