Job Purpose

The Manufacturing Specialist works to improve and implement robust control systems, evaluate process systems to validate and identify gaps. Prepare documents for Manufacturing to improve process, training and maintain standards for department. Track and follow up on Manufacturing projects. Synergize with all departments for process improvements.

Duties And Responsibilities

The associate’s primary functions and responsibilities are as follows:

• Track action items related to manufacturing and follow up on initiatives
• Synergize with all departments including PLM, Engineering, Maintenance and R&D teams to successful monitor progress and implementation of initiatives with follow up.
• Evaluation of process control systems (waterlog audits, equipment profiles) and work with operations to build robust systems.
• Work with Engineering to prepare for smooth handover of new capital, following up that al systems are in place to transition to operations.
• Create detailed and easy to understand workbooks using Microsoft office applications.
• Become an expert in machine procedures and translate knowledge into workbooks for employees.
• Organize and attend meetings with internal stakeholders, following up with meeting minutes and timelines.
• Create work orders for manufacturing team and work with planning department for clear understanding of objectives and follow up.
• Perform other assigned duties.
• Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.
• Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.
• Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
  
  

Qualifications

• Degree required in a technical field and 1-3 years of scheduling/planning experience and/or 5-10 years as a machine repair technician, or equivalent combination of both.
• Demonstrated knowledge/experience of successful project manager
• Computer aided design experience (CAD)
• Experience in an industrial environment preferred.
• Electrical/mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), SAP preferred.
• Knowledge and experience working in a bakery environment preferred.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Highly organized with strong focus/attention to details.
• Sound administrative and record keeping skills.
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills
• Works well in an office while being expectational at integrating with cross functional teams via email/phone, etc...
• Strong knowledge of MS Office and database management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
