Senior Disability Case Manager Location: This is a remote-based position and candidates must reside in BC

Employment Status: Temporary Full Time (6 months)

Our Disability Management Services department is growing, and we have an immediate opening for a Disability Case Manager!

As a Disability Case Manager you will be responsible for disability case management and coordination of matters related to both occupational and non-occupational illness and/or injury. As part of your role you will be working closely with employees, employers, union representatives and medical professionals in order to obtain and review objective functional details in order to implement a successful and sustainable return to work plan. The Disability Case Manager will develop relationships with involved parties and provide expert advice to customers on a daily basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess the situation and issues related to the disability Plan and implement effective disability case management strategies, with a focus on recovery and return to work
  • Review accommodation requests and implement successful return to work plans
  • Review accommodation requests for stay at work efforts
  • Responsible for disability management communications both verbally and in written correspondence, to all stakeholders involved
  • Qualifications: Professional designation in a health-related discipline such as Kinesiology and a Certificate or higher in Disability Case Management or similar
  • Related professional designation such as CDMP, RTWDM is strongly preferred
  • Superior communication and listening skills
  • Extremely organized and able to multi task
  • Dedicated and able to make tough decisions within tight time constraints
  • Tech savvy, with superior computer skills including with Office 365, Teams
  • Excellent documentation and time management skills, able to meet/exceed the required turn-around times
  • Knowledge of appropriate legislation related to employment, workplace accommodations, and disability management
