This is a superb opportunity to become a Member of our CGI-Calgary team providing leading information technology services to our clients. We are seeking a Technical Team Lead with proven experience in solution design and agile development methodologies and be able to lead and mentor a team of developers in designing and implementing software solutions.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Design and architect robust, scalable, and efficient solutions using modern technologies.
• Plan and manage iterations, ensuring timely delivery of backlog items.
• Organize and prioritize product backlog items in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Estimate efforts to meet project deadlines.
• Utilize Azure DevOps and Azure GitHub for source control.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployment processes.
• Ability to develop containerized applications using Docker and manage them with Azure Kubernetes.
• Work with React, Angular (a plus), Express.js, Next.js, Python, FastAPI, and .NET to build front-end and back-end applications.
• Utilize Tailwind or similar frameworks for efficient and responsive UI development.
• Design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes to handle data effectively.
• Lead the development of containerized applications and manage data orchestration engines.
• Incorporate GenAI and/or machine learning models into solutions (a plus).
• Provide expertise and guidance on solution design, agile practices, and best practices in software development.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices, particularly in the oil and gas sector (a plus).
  
  

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

• Minimum of 8 years of full stack development experience in Express.js, Next.js, Python, FastAPI, and .NET.
• Strong expertise in iteration planning, backlog organization, and effort estimation.
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps, Azure GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes and Docker.
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies including React, Angular (a plus), and frameworks like Tailwind.
• Experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and data orchestration engines.
• Familiarity with developing containerized applications.
• Knowledge of GenAI and/or machine learning (a plus).
• Experience in the oil and gas industry (a plus).
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
