BWXT Medical is recruiting for a full-time Quality Control Technician for our facility in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Location of Work: On-site, 4004 Wesbrook Mall, Vancouver.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform quality control analysis of products and raw materials. You will be responsible for specific administrative duties. You will follow ongoing production processes for conformance to operating procedures, product specification, GMP regulations and ISO standards. Maintain accurate records of observations, results and data evaluations. Perform other duties related to this job and this level as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Normally Technologist Diploma (3 years) in a Science discipline plus 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Must possess effective communication skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to adapt to change and work well in a team environment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Works under general direction and guidance. Decisions are normally made based on interpretation of well-defined policies and precedent.
  • Physical requirements:
    • Good manual dexterity and grip strength.
    • Push/pull hand carts with a force of up to 25kgs on and occasional basis.
    • Lift up to 5kgs on a frequent basis and 10kgs on an occasional basis.
    • Work with arms and hands on a frequent basis.
  • This position requires the successful completion of a vision screening and hearing test as a pre-employment condition.
  • This position requires the successful completion of Health and Hygiene medical assessment as a pre-employment condition.

The base salary range for this position in British Columbia (CA-BC)at the start of employment is expected to be between $71,146 and $87,139 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an o ffer of employment and are subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
