Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop 3D civil models (Road, Bridge, Earthworks, Utilities, etc.) from 2D drawings and technical specifications
  • Produce drawings based on BIM model
  • Process Drone’s Photogrammetry and Lidar datasets
  • Perform quantity take-offs to support estimating
  • Support model-related project coordination
  • Address and resolve model and design issues with the project team
  • Gather information from project stakeholders for incorporation into the BIM model
  • Conduct clash detections and assist in developing solutions with the project team
  • Coordinate 3D laser scans/point cloud models
  • Implement model-related document management systems on projects, including document control activities as needed

Qualifications

  • 3-8 years of experience working with BIM-related software, with proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D. Experience with Trimble Business Center, Revit parametric modeling, and Navisworks is beneficial
  • Educational background in civil or structural engineering and geomatics, with BIM technology/animation as a plus
  • Experience with civil construction design preferred
  • Knowledge of Dynamo, Python, Revizto, and BIM implementation is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in a team environment, self-motivated, and eager to learn and take on new challenges
