Description

We are offering a long-term contract opportunity for a Bilingual Collections Specialist located in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. This role requires proficiency in both English and French, as you will be managing collections from a diverse customer base. The position is on-site and involves expertise in Microsoft Excel, billing functions, collection processes, and Finance & Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain consistent communication with customers in both English and French to address and resolve billing and credit issues.
  • Conduct collection calls and manage weekly communication with a large customer base.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to track, organize, and analyze customer data effectively.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies and disputes related to customer accounts.
  • Send invoices to customers upon request, ensuring accuracy and promptness.
  • Use MS Dynamics 365 to manage customer accounts and execute collection processes.
  • Monitor customer accounts for timely payments and take appropriate actions for overdue accounts.
  • Provide a high level of customer service while managing sensitive financial transactions.
  • Collaborate with the team to streamline and enhance the collections process.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a Collections Specialist or in a similar role
  • Familiarity with billing functions and collection processes
  • Strong understanding of credit management principles
  • Bilingual communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers in multiple languages
  • Proven experience as a collector, with a track record of successfully recovering outstanding payments
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential financial information responsibly
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
