Design Supervisor- Major Projects

Summary

The Major Projects Design Supervisor is placed in this role to oversee all facets of Design and Drafting forMajor Projects. This role involves collaboration with the Drafting Manager regarding staffing, cost, and execution of large projects. The individual will be involved in FEED and development of projects pre-award and must have a strong understanding of Gas Processing and solid AutoCAD and CADWorx skills. This Supervisor will help manage Contract staff and a small team of Enerflex employees to execute projects.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead Drafting Responsibilities of Most Major Projects
• Lead Drafting Consistency in Major Projects
• Assist in Developing Models and Drawings using CADWorx and AutoCAD
• Work Closely with All Facets of Engineering
• Interface with Customers and External Vendors
• Manage Drafting Schedules and Deliverables
• Look for Efficiencies and Cost Reductions in Project Execution
• Identify Procedural Issues and Resolution to those Issues
• Attend Team Standups and Scheduling Meetings.
• Work Closely with Production teams ensuring clear direction
• Work Closely with The Drafting Manager to Efficiently Staff all Projects
• Allocation of Manpower and Delegation of Drafting Activities
• Mentor the Drafting Team during Project Execution
• Some Estimating of Project Change will be Required
• Complete HR Requirements for all Direct Reports (Performance Reviews, Vacation Approval etc.)
  
  

Qualifications

• This individual should be a graduate from a technical school (SAIT or NAIT) with a diploma in either Engineering Design Drafting Technologies or the Process Piping Design course or equivalent
• A minimum of 10 years of experience within the field of Plant design is a must
• A full working knowledge of AutoCAD and CADWorx is a must. The position will involve modelling piping, steel and electrical
• A full working knowledge of Navisworks and Bluebeam is preferred
• Full functional abilities with Office 365
• Strong knowledge of Gas Processing and Plant Layouts
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to manage change is a MUST
• A team-oriented mind set, and strong communication skills is a MUST
• Strong collaborative and problem-solving skills
