Location: Montreal

Salary: $90K to $100K

A well-established manufacturer is seeking a Maintenance Manager for their Montreal plant. They have a 24/7 production operation with 30+ machines. This a for a very well- established company offering a dynamic work environment with low turnover.

Responsibilities

• Performing regular maintenance and repairs of machinery for the production facility
• Scheduling and supervising technical maintenance staff processes
• Managing a team of 8-10 maintenance staff (electromechanics) including scheduled and special project assignments
• Implementing preventive maintenance plans for machinery and other production equipment
• Ensuring production equipment is in optimal functioning condition to support the business needs
• Demonstrating capable leadership to anticipate and overcome obstacles related to production equipment
• Maintaining documentation for systems, schedules and reports
• Overseeing the onboarding and integration of maintenance technicians
• Participating in Health and Safety initiatives for the production facility
  
  
  

Requirements

• At least 5+ years of experience in managing a production maintenance team within a similar environment
• At least 2-5 years of experience in maintenance of plastics machinery (strong asset)
• Technical degree or diploma within a related discipline is considered an important requirement
• Strong technical knowledge of machinery to troubleshoot and offer expertise to junior staff as needed
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities to identify strengths within a team and oversee scheduling and special projects
