Responsibilities

The Demand Planner contributes to PepsiCo Beverages success by developing accurate sales forecasts. This is accomplished by leveraging data and statistical models to guide the decision making process for the assigned markets in consultation with other key process stakeholders.

  • Generate and manage the weekly product forecast to ensure alignment with market demand.
  • Leverage demand planning exception reports to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to address discrepancies between forecasted and actual sales.
  • Review outliers and out-of-stock (OOS) situations weekly to enhance statistical forecast accuracy and reduce bias.
  • Collaborate with the Modelling team to identify and resolve statistical forecasting issues.
  • Gather and align promotional information and volume data from sales, brand, and field partners for forecasting.
  • Adjust forecasts as needed, incorporating local market insights and intelligence.
  • Prepare the weekly demand planning call agenda and distribute forecast reports for stakeholder review.
  • Lead discussions with FOBO partners to incorporate their volume data when necessary.
  • Participate in the innovation process for specific brands or categories, building forecasts for new products when needed.
  • Support the Demand Planning Manager in tasks aimed at improving overall forecast accuracy and reducing bias.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in Supply Chain or Statistics preferred
  • Superior analytical skills
  • Demonstrates leadership behaviour
  • Strong Demand Planning system knowledge of SAP IBP, JDA or equivalent planning system
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Supply Chain Planning and/or Operations experience an asset
  • S&OE and S&OP experience an asset
  • APICS certification an asset
  • High proficiency with MS Office products; particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
