Job Purpose

As a member of an interdisciplinary team, plans, prioritizes and implements patient care; promotes patients’ self-care and appropriately assists with their activities of daily living; documents patient care. Performs other duties as assigned. May be reassigned throughout the department as required

Qualifications

• Active Registration with ANBLPN
• Current BCLS Certification – C level
• Demonstrated skills working with Medical/Surgical patients in an acute care setting
• Demonstrated ability to respond to rapidly changing priorities
• Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and team-building skills
• Ability to perform the duties of the position
• Ability to attend work on a regular basis
• Good work record
  
  

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

• Responds to emergency situations under the direction of a Registered nurse
• Prioritizes and delivers care to predictable stable patients
• Ability to assess acute patient changes and consult with Registered nurse when needed
• Administration of medications
• Complex wound care consulting Registered nurse as needed
• Maintains education requirements for the position
• Maintains strict confidentiality regarding all aspects of work
