Description

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions that are crucial to the smooth running of our operations. This includes benefits administration, event coordination, data entry, and time and labour management. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and ensure accuracy of employee benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs.
  • Organize and manage company events, coordinating with different departments for smooth execution.
  • Accurately input relevant HR information into our database, including new hires, performance reviews, terminations, and employee status changes.
  • Oversee time and labour duties, such as maintaining and updating employee attendance records, managing work schedules, and overseeing leaves of absence.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures; educate employees about their rights, benefits, and responsibilities within the company.
  • Manage and respond to queries relating to HR-related matters from company personnel.
  • Coordinate the performance evaluation process and update records accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to enhance and improve HR programs and initiatives.
  • Liaise and maintain good relationships with external vendors and insurance carriers.
  • Utilize skills such as ADP Workforce Now, ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Benefit Functions, Communication, Compliance, Employee Relations, Coordinating Events, Benefits Administration, Administrative skills, and Data Entry.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now
  • Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
  • Experience in handling Benefit Functions
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Knowledge of Compliance procedures and regulations
  • Experience in Employee Relations
  • Proven skills in Coordinating Events
  • Proficiency in Benefits Administration
  • Strong Administrative skills
  • Experience in Data Entry tasks
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
