We are looking for an ESG Disclosure Manager who will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the company’s CSR initiatives and ESG performance metrics. This role is critical in maintaining transparency with stakeholders and aligning the organization’s practices with sustainable and responsible business principles. In a fast-paced and ever-changing regulatory landscape, you will be at the forefront of monitoring developments in sustainability regulations and reporting standards, and ensure that the requirements for ESG disclosure are embedded in operations. Reporting to the CSR director, you will be responsible for meeting ESG disclosure regulatory requirements and achieving sustainability reporting commitments.

You’ll Have The Opportunity To

  • ESG Reporting: Lead the preparation and publication of voluntary and mandatory ESG disclosures, including sustainability reports, regulatory requirements and ESG ratings. Ensure compliance with relevant reporting regulations and standards. Monitor emerging trends and regulatory developments to ensure proactive compliance. Manage external advisers and contractors to determine critical priorities for ESG disclosure alignment and timelines for delivery.
  • Data Management: Oversee the collection, validation and analysis of ESG data from various internal departments and external sources. In collaboration with IT, develop robust data governance frameworks to ensure data accuracy and integrity. In collaboration with finance and legal, define methodologies relating to ESG regulations. Collaborate with finance to identify and implement disclosure controls and procedures for ESG data.
  • Continuous Improvement: In collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders (subject matter experts), identify data ownership and data availability, develop a data collection process and roadmap to achieve desired ESG positioning. Collaborate and inform the Sustainability strategy team on gap assessments.
  • Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of ESG policies and procedures that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Team Management: Provide management and leadership to a team of ESG analysts. Contribute to maintaining high performance, integrity and mobilization standards within the global CSR team.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • 10+ years of sustainability leadership experience, including cross-functional collaborations and ESG reporting.
  • Excellent working knowledge of current sustainability reporting and disclosure requirements and trends – even better if this is gained within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple reporting cycles and deadlines simultaneously.
  • At ease working autonomously internationally and with a wide range of stakeholders, include senior leaders, and the ability to influence at all levels, with a mindset for collaboration and inclusivity.
  • Data management and process development/deployment skills.
  • Strong influencing skills and credibility with stakeholders and colleagues.
  • The ability to share knowledge and consider divergent viewpoints in a diverse and multicultural environment.
  • An excellent verbal and written communicator with strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to engage, manage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Bilingual – able to write and communicate fluently in both French and English.
  • Highly detail-oriented.
  • At minimum, a bachelor’s degree in sustainability, finance, compliance or audit.
