Client Business Support (CBS) is a client focused processing department that enables the bank to demonstrate that a digital bank can offer superior client experience by efficiently and effectively delivering on the promises made to our clients. The CBS department is made up of several teams; each team plays a unique role in providing support for Deposits, Lending, and Investments products.
What you will be doing:
As the Bilingual Senior Service Analyst, you will contribute to the overall success of the Garnishment, RTP, Bankruptcy, Court Order, Consumer Proposal and other government issued client related requests. This includes ensuring all associated documentation is processed and assessed in both a prudent and timely fashion.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Lead the end-to-end process for Third Party Documents by applying the applicable regulatory requirements (Federal, Provincial and Municipal) to each case assigned including responding to inquiries from internal and external sources
- Liaise with External Lawyers, CRA, Revenue Quebec, and Scotia Legal when necessary to ensure all documents are validated and complete
- Ensure the daily work volumes within the assigned area are organized and distributed among the team
- Provide support to frontline staff on all matters related Garnishments/RTP/Bankruptcies & consumer proposals
- Process and maintain all bank drafts
- Process and maintain the Legal Documents shared email inbox
- Proficiency using CPA transaction codes to ensure accurate reporting to the Canada Revenue Agency
- Participate in the hiring, training, coaching and development of Account Officers
- Support CSL and CRG teams by leading investigation and escalated problem resolution
- Lead in testing and development of training material as required by the business.
- Lead in the update of procedures and guidelines as new processes are introduced or changed.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Fluency in English and French is required
- Prior experience with Garnishments is required
- Strong team leader with experience in coaching and developing team members
- University or College Degree in a business discipline is an asset
- Minimum 2-3 years of work-related experience preferably in Financial Services
- Developed knowledge of current tax, trust and family law legislation and other relevant regulatory requirements sufficient to understand impact upon Tangerine risk
- Be fully knowledgeable and staying current with respect to all Tangerine products, services, policies and procedures.
- Understanding of provincial and Federal attachment orders
- Demonstrated flexibility in a changing environment
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills are essential
