MatchBox Consulting Group is looking for a detail-driven and adaptable Accounting Operations Associate to bring their organizational skills and multitasking abilities to our team. Based in our Downtown Vancouver office, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, handling large volumes of data with precision and supporting a small corporate administration team with a positive, solutions-focused attitude.
- Full-time permanent position
- In-office position, Downtown Vancouver (Burrard station offices)
- 46,000-56,000 / year + employment benefits
Accounting Duties:
- Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Process invoices, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely payments.
- Prepare payment schedules, and monitor outstanding balances.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
- Assist with reconciliations and prepare reports weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with the finance team to support budget tracking and expense reporting.
Administrative Duties:
- Provide general administrative support, including managing emails, scheduling meetings, and maintaining calendars for the team.
- Prepare and organize documentation for audits, reporting, and compliance purposes.
- Maintain and update accounting and administrative records.
- Manage office supplies, expense reimbursements, and internal documentation.
- Assist with data entry, filing, and other clerical duties as required.
- Handle incoming calls, route messages, and respond to inquiries.
- Support the onboarding process for new team members, including setting up workstations and assisting with training materials.
- Make errands in Downtown Vancouver as required.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting and/or administrative roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.) and MS Excel.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
