We are recruiting for a Member Service Specialist to join our Penticton Advice Centre. The Member Service Specialist (MSS) uncovers and supports sales while delivering exceptional customer service and is responsible for proactively developing positive relationships, and satisfying our members' product and service needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Greet customers, establish rapport, address service inquiries and customer concerns, and seek opportunities to deepen customer relationships.
  • Proactively seek occasions to demonstrate our value proposition, uncover needs, and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Refer customers to other team members and business partners as needed, collaborating to ensure a seamless and rewarding customer experience.
  • Handle member personal banking needs through discovery conversations and opening new products such as personal and business profiles, term deposits, and other banking products and services.
  • Ensure an exceptional member experience by providing back-up support for other team members.
  • Participate in sales meetings and maintain an accurate history of sales and service activity on the customer relationship management system.
  • Support and participate in community initiatives.

What You Bring

  • Previous banking, credit union or advisory sales experience with a strong interest in developing your financial services career.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Capacity and passion for learning, strong team orientation, and a keenness to help others.
  • Skilled in computer systems and processes.
