Job Title: Bookkeeper
Location: Dartmouth, NS
Salary: $40,000 per year
Shift: Monday to Friday - 9 AM to 5 PM

Assignment Information
Advantage Personnel is looking to hire a qualified Senior Bookkeeper in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. In this position you will need to have 2 years of experience working as a Bookkeeper in Canada with strong working experience in QuickBooks and Sage. This is a great opportunity to gain experience with a respected company in the Dartmouth area. This is a full-time role.

Job Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of transactions
Process accounts payable and manage vendor relationships
Prepare and process payroll for employees
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
Generate financial reports and statements as needed
Utilize accounting software such as Sage or QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop to record and track financial data
Support the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings

Requirements
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Strong organizational and time management skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of payroll processing and basic understanding of employment laws

Education
AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
