Payroll Technician - Bilingual

As a Senior Payroll Technician working in the Operational Support team at Pomerleau Construction, you will be responsible for processing payroll-related files and producing various reports throughout the year. Playing a pivotal role in the success of our large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion - by ensuring unwavering accuracy and compliance with our payroll processes.

What You Will Do

• Manage the entries of all new employees’ personal information into the CMIC computer system.
• Meticulously input time sheet hours, applying union rules for overtime, expenses, etc. In CMIC.
• Own the transmission of our team's payroll to the financial institutions.
• Diligently file all documents related to payroll processing successfully within our systems.
• Support in the management of our employee onboarding and offboardings on CCQ website weekly.
• You will create balanced payroll reports and payments (remittances, unions, pensions, insurance, etc.).
• You are up for any challenge and additionally support various administrative tasks including issuing records of employment, vacation pay, tax forms, and providing HR dashboard updates.
  
  

This role could be for you if you have

• AEC or DEC in accounting.
• 2 years' experience in payroll processing.
• You are fluently bilingual in both official languages (French and English).
  
  

Additional assets: 

• Knowledge of SAP
• Knowledge of payroll processing for CCQ and other construction unions
• Payroll Compliance Professional accreditation from the National Payroll Institute;
