Are you ready to apply your knowledge in the real world? We are hiring a Co-op, Fuels Finance for the Winter Term with our Power Generation Fuels Finance team.
What You’ll Do
We’ll treat you as one of our own and your key areas of responsibility will include:
- Assisting with the month end financial close process by assembling data and preparing journal entries;
- Preparing Balance Sheet and Income Statement account reconciliations;
- Working with the front-office group to reconcile transactions relating to natural gas and power;
- Assisting with the processing of payments to counterparties for fuel purchases;
- Generating invoices for purchases of generation from Independent Power Producers;
- Preparing process documentation;
- Performing analysis on ad-hoc inquiries from other business units.
Working as a valued part of our Fuels Finance team, you will bring:
- You must be working towards a Business degree and have completed the first two years of your degree and be enrolled in a co-op program.
- You must have a strong attention to detail, can work independently, and be a decision-maker. You must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite and have strong Excel experience.
