Job Description
Total Credit Recovery has been a leader in the collections industry for the past 44 years, and we represent the largest banks and credit grantors in Canada. Currently, we’re looking for a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to take us to the next level.
We want someone with hands-on practical experience, who has high-level knowledge and ambition to build their own I.T team and design a new roadmap for TCR. Ideally, you are a university graduate in a related field with 5+ years of progressive experience working in IT, and 3+ years leading and managing other IT professionals.
This is a full-time, on-site role in our office.

- Team design
- Performance management
- Training and staff development
- Drive the vision for the IT department
- Managing vendor relationships and contracts
- Investigating new technology for TCR
- Creating and managing implementation plans for upgrades
- Creative ideas for the use of AI
- Mitigating risks
- Collaborating with other executives
- University Degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or directly related field
- 5+ years technical, hands-on experience working with cloud migrations, cyber security, and cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with any of the following make you a top candidate: M365 suite administration, VMware, FortiGate, MFA, Azure, Active Directory, telephony systems including VOiP, SharePoint, hardware deployment and upgrades, helpdesk procedures, software development, website management, etc
- 3+ years of experience directly managing multiple IT professionals, including administrators, analysts, and specialists.
- Exceptional communication skills and leadership skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
