Responsibilities

  • Research various tax related issues and conclude on their potential implications
  • Assist in research and preparation of tax-planning strategies for our clients and on the preparation and review of complex tax returns
  • Collect and analyze relevant financial and tax data
  • Actively engage in tax compliance, planning and strategy development by analyzing client tax issues, relevant tax laws, provisions, and jurisprudence
  • Develop and apply knowledge of the Canadian Income Tax Act and other tax related legislations
  • Collaborate with engagement teams to plan timelines, risk assessments, and other documents
  • Identify issues and errors, investigate discrepancies
  • Assist in preparation of election forms
  • Participate in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills And Experience

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a senior role
  • You have completed or are pursuing your Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) designation
  • In progress of the CPA in-depth tax program or MTAX
  • Possess enthusiasm for the profession and learning
  • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong interpersonal skills including excellent written and oral communication
  • Customer service and/or client service experience is desirable
  • Other language skills is an asset. Let us know if you are fluent in other languages.
