As an Inside Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in establishing relationships and marketing Swish’s company brand in a way that is positive, honest, and professional. The work you do is directly linked to successful outcomes resulting from customer retention and word-of-mouth sales. You would be a great fit for our team if you can combine superior listening and communication skills with an outgoing personality to build instant rapport and further our business initiative. What does an Inside Sales Representative do?

  • Engage customers and prospective customers via inbound and outbound calls, sometimes following an outlined script to advertise our products, in a way that is professional and honest.
  • Work with your team members to facilitate calls, manage workflow, and minimize hold times throughout the sales process.
  • Facilitate the entire sales process from the initiation of the original call through finalization of account set-up for each customer you speak with.
  • Research and understand our product line and be familiar with each product’s function and purpose, so you can confidently identify opportunities to recommend products that add value for our customers.
  • Maintain an organized workspace and properly file documents, updates, and product information so it is readily accessible for reference.
  • Listen attentively to customer questions and provide answers that are knowledgeable and insightful.
  • Showcase the company’s strengths and highlight our brand by talking about the characteristics that make our organization unique.
  • Participate in weekly meetings to discuss benchmarks and goals for the upcoming week.

What do you need?

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a customer facing role, in either a sales or service environment. Market experience in Ottawa, Kingston, and/or Peterborough/Kawarthas is an asset.
  • The ability to communicate professionally and persuasively in a manner that engages customers and delivers value.
  • Organizational and multitasking skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and pay strong attention to detail when processing orders.
  • Strong computer and technical skills are required. Experience with MS Office is an asset.
  • Experience with a CRM and other sales technologies is considered an asset
  • Attention to detail to accurately process invoices
