What does an Graveyard Shift Supervisor do?

  • Implement security operation procedures and policies.
  • Maintain protection systems against fire, theft, and other incidents.
  • Ensure the availability and readiness of emergency equipment.
  • Suggest improvements to optimize security services.
  • Prepare and deliver daily briefings to staff at the start of their shifts.
  • Prioritize, direct, and supervise staff, responding to incidents as needed.
  • Provide operational directions to staff during on-site occurrences.
  • Conduct campus patrols to ensure operational quality.
  • Identify potential security and safety hazards.
  • Train new staff members.

Qualifications To Become An Graveyard Shift Supervisor

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in personnel management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A valid BC security guard license and OFA2 certification.
  • After-hours on-call availability.
  • A Class 5 driver’s license.
