Payroll Administrator

Description

Our client in Calgary is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing and possess intermediate skills in Excel. The Payroll Administrator will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with all payroll regulations, and provide exceptional support to our employees regarding payroll inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees.
• Ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
• Review and verify timesheets, attendance records, and other payroll-related documents for accuracy.
• Maintain payroll records and reports in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports to the management team as needed.
• Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll issues promptly.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of payroll tax filings.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
• Stay current on payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Ad-hoc duties as requested.
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of payroll administration experience.
• Proficient in Dayforce and Ceridian PowerPay.
• PCP designation an asset.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets, use formulas, and generate reports.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Available to start immediately.
