Join a top employer and advance your career. Aplin has partnered with a Mississauga, Ontario-based company to hire a Compensation Specialist! This will be a 6-month contract.
Benefits & Perks
- Compensation: $30 to $35/hour
- Please note, this will be a 1-week on-site training then moved to hybrid (once a month at the client’s Mississauga Location)
- This will be a 6-month contract
- Monday to Friday 8am or 9am start (37.5 hours a week)
- Assists in the administration of incentive compensation and annual salary administration programs, reviews wage and salary changes for adherence to HR guidelines
- Maintains compliance with minimum wage legislation and performs all grid implementation cost calculations to ensure accurate budgeting
- Compiles data for reporting and analysis in planning, developing and implementing compensation strategies
- Collects, analyzes and reports on pay data and market research and prepares reports/charts/graphs to clearly outline analysis findings
- Assesses trends in the external market
- Participates in job evaluation and grading processes, including providing managers and the HR team with advice and assistance with respect to promotions and reclassifications, recommendations on new hire grading
- Provides analysis and support in the annual total rewards cycles such as salary increase administration, incentive and commission programs and the associated communication processes
- Provides payroll team with all necessary documentation to support general and annual wage increase cycles, to ensure timely and accurate processing
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration
- Must have over 2 years of experience in Compensation from a Corporate company (Salary Administration; Analysis and Modeling; Job Evaluation, Incentive/Variable pay)
- Advanced MS office skills including Excel (Data Management, Statistical Analysis, and Pivot Tables)
- Working towards CCP Designation is an ASSET
- Must have experience Workforce Now or any HRIS system
