Automation Quality Assurance Analyst – Job Description

- Define and execute automation, testing, and QA processes from smoke testing through final acceptance testing.
- Develop and implement an automation strategy in collaboration with external groups
- Execute QA and automation processes on all engineering projects under the guidance of a team manager
- Ensure deliverable deadlines are met without compromising quality
- Foster a culture of quality and testing within the team
- Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and deliver high-quality products
- Design and develop automation architecture and scripts, ensuring they are complete, executable, reusable, and maintainable
- Set standards for scripting and the environment to suit production needs
- Ensure all planned activities are executed and completed on schedule
- Report progress and address any issues promptly
- Manage short-term and long-term objectives, effectively scoping projects within schedule constraints
- Work with QA teams, Business Analysts, and Solution Analysts to validate requirements and incorporate them into automation test scripts
- Participate in test strategy, estimation, and planning discussions
- Read requirement specification documents and produce test plans and test cases
- Define automation strategies to verify the operation of new services or products
- 2+ years of experience in QA and testing
- 1+ year of experience in automation
- Experience in creating test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for at least 2 years
- Experience in the banking/financial industry or a large enterprise environment
- Familiarity with remediation tools
- Experience with both functional and non-functional testing
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
